At the Bay Laurel Center Community Development District (the District), environmental stewardship is one of our highest priorities. Protecting our shared water resources is central to that mission, which is why we work closely with the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD).
To help reduce demand spikes on the potable water system, improve system performance, and support our community’s long-term sustainability the District has adopted designated landscape-watering days for all homes, based on the last number of each home’s address. After the initial 30-day grow-in period for new landscaping, we ask all residents to adjust their irrigation controller settings to follow these assigned watering

Reducing water-demand spikes throughout the community and increasing conservation efforts directly benefit us all. By applying only ½ inch of water each time you irrigate your lawn—no more than one inch per week—you can significantly reduce your water consumption and lower your monthly bill. Your monthly water bill is directly influenced by your commitment to responsible water use. By conserving water, you not only reduce your personal expenses but also help protect Florida’s aquifers, which supply nearly 100% of our state’s drinking water. Additionally, ensuring that your rain or moisture sensor is functioning properly prevents unnecessary irrigation and provides further savings on your utility costs.
