Welcome to Bay Laurel Center Community Development District (your water and wastewater utilities provider). The District’s Staff is knowledgeable in ownership and operation of the utility facilities, and capable of providing full environmental and engineering activities including overseeing, managing and directing the operation of the facilities.
Bay Laurel Center Community Development District (referred to within this web site as CDD or District or Bay Laurel Center CDD) is a local unit of special purpose government of the State of Florida created by and in accordance with the Uniform Community Development District Act of 1980, Chapter 190, Florida Statutes, as amended, and by Marion County Ordinance No. 02-11, adopted by the Board of County Commissioners of Marion County, Florida on May 7, 2002 and amended by Marion County ordinance No. 04-10, adopted by the Board of County commissioners of Marion County, Florida on May 4, 2004.
A community development district is a governmental entity established as a vehicle for long-term maintenance, upkeep and operation of essential services and facilities through a single, coordinated entity.
The CDD’s primary infrastructure consists of a vast distribution network delivering water, wastewater and reclaimed water services to residential and commercial customers, and reclaimed water services to common areas within the boundaries of the District.
